Alright... here we have our first look at young Kuriko in her school uniform... I actually spent a good half hour on coming up with the design for this too. In designing it, I didn't want something that look particularly anime-esque so I went with a standard kind of suit look, also I wanted to add a "European" flair to it (I don't really think it can be called that though), so I added the short cape... it was sort of inspired by Harry Potter, I think.
I just saw a preview of the new Street Fighter anime that Capcom and Manga Entertainment are working on together... Can't say how I feel about it yet, there wasn't enough material, but I'm excited to see it now... and that's because I love the characters in Street Fighter.
After realizing this, I have come to the conclusion that I want my characters to be as beloved as the Street Fighter, or Batman, or Lord of the Rings characters... characters that, when people see them, fill thier audiences with anticipation of their next adventure or start all that exciting speculation that always preceeds a big release. So.. the question now is, "How do I make Pai, Pinhead and the others as endearing as the ones I have come to admire and care about?" I'm not too sure yet, but I'm working on it.
Also for those of you who might be attending, I'm going to be going to the San Diego Comic Con on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the weekend of July 14th, so if any of our readership is going to be there, please let me know in our forum, I'd like to meet you!
